Simulcast of Pearl Jam Taping Austin City Limits will tape a performance by Pearl Jam on Saturday, October 3. Our studio capacity is too limited to meet the demands for this taping and we didn’t want our loyal blog readers to miss out on it so we’re video streaming the live recording direct from our studio to fans in the Hogg Memorial Auditorium.
We’ll be giving away tickets to the simulcast at noon on Friday, October 2, at KLRU-TV (map to KLRU ). Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, four (4) per person limit until supplies run out. We’ll be giving away more than 400 tickets to the simulcast, so bring your friends.
Remember, this is not to the studio taping, but to the simulcast party. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the screening will start at 8 p.m. Hogg Memorial Auditorium is located on the University of Texas campus, directions here .

But, I completely understand the cluster**** that would happen if you tried to give tix away to Pearl Jam.
April, so no tickets at all will be given to the public peon fans for the taping? Not even a pair? Not even one? Not even for Ten Club members? I know, I’m whining, but I thought there would be at least a one in a million chance.
Let’s just say that “We want to give everyone in the industry tickets first so they can rub it in that they are going to the Pearl Jam taping! OOOOh I hope they play that song “can’t find a betterman….I LOVE THAT ONE!” I wonder how many real fans will be in there? I agree with you K. We can whine together. Just saying.
The passes that would normally have gone to the public or the fan club are going to members of the Wounded Warriors at the band’s request.

Wondering if this is makeup for Ed’s last minute cancellation at SXSW ‘08 where he and Ben Harper were promoting Body of War at Stubbs? What’s the chance that Ben Harper shows and they play No War? I bet it happens. Cool thing for the Band to do this.

how do you get tickets for upcoming shows.
I’m also wondering what time people are gonna start queuing up. I think allowing 4 tickets per person is a bit much. If everyone gets 4 then only the first 100 people can get tickets and most will end up on Ebay for sale at exorbitant prices. Doesn’t seem very fair.
